As expected, Kobe Bryant will be named this season's Most Valuable Player, that according to a report in the LA Times.
NBA Commissioner will travel to LA to present the award to Bryant. The ceremony is expected to be held shortly before the Lakers Game Two matchup with the Jazz at Staples Center.
The award will be Kobe's first MVP honor. He finished second in the league in scoring with 28.3 points a game, and he guided the Lakers to the top seed in the Western Conference with a 57-25 record.
